DREAMS
MILESTONES
We are right at the verge of signing a contract for a magical piece of land high up in the Spanish Pyrenees to start the animal sanctuary in a dedicated location. To make our project a permanent reality, we need to create stability for the sweet animals we are trying to help, therefore, we need to invest in land. A home for them and us.
This section is about the future we are building together. While your donations always go toward the daily essentials—keeping bellies full, vet checks up to date, and the land stable—we also have big dreams for the valley. These milestones are the "bones" of our project; they are the investments that will allow Serendipia de Arrebol to grow from a small rescue into a thriving, self-sustaining sanctuary and community hub.
Here is how we plan to grow with your help:
FOOD FOREST
We are building a garden that works like a forest. This is a long-term investment in fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, and native plants. The goal is to create a self-sustaining ecosystem that will eventually provide fresh, vegan food for our residents and volunteers, reducing our reliance on outside supplies and healing the soil in the process.

YURT
To make this project financially sustainable, we plan to invest in a large yurt. This will serve as our "mountain classroom" - a beautiful, intentional space for yoga, art retreats, and community workshops. By hosting these sessions, we can generate a steady income that goes right back into the animal sanctuary fund.

VOLUNTEER HOUSING
To rescue more animals, we need more hands on the land. We want to set up simple, sustainable housing - like refurbished caravans - to host long-term volunteers. This allows us to grow our "human pack," meaning we can provide better care and take in more residents who need our help.

FENCING
Living in a wild valley means we need to be mindful of our neighbors. We need to invest in sturdy, sympathetic fencing that keeps our rescued residents safe and contained while ensuring we don't block the natural corridors used by the local Pyrenean wildlife. It’s about creating safety without creating barriers for the land.

ANIMAL SHELTERS
The Pyrenees seasons are beautiful but can be harsh. We need funds for materials to build sturdy, weather-proof shelters for the residents. Since we build these ourselves, your donations go straight into high-quality timber and insulation (second-hand if possible) to keep everyone warm and dry through the winter snow and autumn rains.

BUYING LAND
Our biggest milestone is the chance to buy a neighboring patch of land. This expansion is vital; more land means more space for animals to roam, more room for the food forest to grow, and the ability to say "yes" to more rescues who currently have nowhere else to go. It’s the ultimate step in securing a permanent future for this sanctuary.
